What to do on a rainy day

Take cover ! But every rain cloud has a silver lining …

10:00-11:00  A little exhibition ?
Every 2 to 3 weeks, a new exhibition is held in the Inforville Tourist Information Office: photography, science or history … all with free entry. And to add to this interesting discovery, the café-shop « Livre et Art » and the PointCulture regularly exhibit artist’s work on their walls.

11:00  Trip to the micro-brewery and an aperitif.
Enter the Brasse-Temps and taste one the local specialities, brewed on the spot ! The most well-known is the famous « Cuvée des Trolls » but you can also sample a white, amber or more fruity beer. The copper brewing vessels are visible and if the brewer is around, he will happily answer any questions and tell you a bit about his trade.

12:00  Lunch at a restaurant in the Biéreau neighbourhood.
The Brasse-Temps offers a brasserie-style, beer-based cuisine, but if the menu isn’t to your taste, you don’t have to go far to find a place worth a visit! Student locals on the place des wallons or an organic restaurant on the terrasse des Ardennais, the choice is yours …

13:30-15:30  Visit to the Hergé Museum or the L Museum.
There are two museums in Louvain-la-Neuve: the Hergé Museum and the L Museum. The Hergé Museum takes you on a discovery tour of the many faces of the creator of Tintin. The L Museum, on the other hand, exhibits works of art and collections belonging to the university.

15:45  Fun « indoor » activity !
A relaxing game of bowls ? You can play billiards or bowls in a subdued basement atmosphere …

18:00  Dinner in a restaurant in Louvain-la-Neuve centre and evening at the Market Square (Grand-Place).
A good day should end with a good meal, out of the bad weather! A light meal of tapas, sushi or brasserie meal? Whatever your choice, a film or a disco at the Gravity bar or Beckett’s will help you digest… or maybe not !
