Benoît Van Calbergh is the City's geographer/cartographer. His task involves establishing a Geographical Information System (GIS *) for faster management of applications (with a spatial dimension) submitted to the municipal administration.    

The cartographic projects this official covers currently involve completing and updating a GIS concerning:     

• the management of the land registry, area plan, structure map, municipal urban planning regulations, subdivision plans, Municipal development plans ... for the Urban planning component.
• the management of cemeteries for the Registry Office component.  

• the management of the municipal sewer system for the Works and Environment component.    

The official is also responsible for updating the city streets map and producing walking guides.
